Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend

Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend

Everyone has heard the phrase “diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” Most girls have even seen the song performed by Marilyn Monroe herself. So, if it’s true that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, well then a girl should expect diamonds even after she’s already engaged! Engagement rings, wedding rings, and holidays – all are great opportunities to surprise the woman you love with diamond jewelry.

Besides engagement celebration, diamonds are being more and more frequently used in eternity bands. Usually an eternity band consists of diamond stones set into a gold band. The setting and carat weight can vary, and so can the occasion. Eternity bands are typically given as a wedding ring, or to celebrate the birth of a child. However, considering how expensive those babies can be, it would be understandable for one to wait a year or two after the financial set back of a child to spoil his wife with diamonds.

So when is another good time to give a diamond? Mother’s Day, of course! Consider diamond jewelry to surprise your own mother, or the mother of your child. Mothers are amazing, and they deserve the best you can give them. Diamonds range in price from the very inexpensive to the very expensive, but whatever you give the mother in your life, she’ll be sure to love it.

Other holidays work well as well. Any girl, married or not, and whether or not she has a child to celebrate, would love to get a diamond on Valentine’s Day. Ignore the typical candy and flowers routine and go for something brilliant and beautiful that will last a life time instead of just a week. Diamonds are forever, after all. Stores often had sales around Valentine’s Day that feature heart-shaped stones and/or stones set in heart-shaped settings.

Whatever the occasion – wedding, birth of a child, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, or just as a surprise, there is no set time when a diamond is specifically appropriate or not. So consider a slightly more expensive option for a gift next time around, and watch her eyes shine just like that diamond.
