As everyone knows, fashionistas flock to Instagram and as Fashion Week heats up in NYC, I wanted to share a quick guide with you on the best ways to experience Fashion Week through Instagram. Whether it is the backstage madness at a runway show, the view from the front row, or inside the hottest parties, Instagram lets everyone at Fashion Week snap photos and video on the go - giving everyone VIP access no matter where they are.
This marks the first year that Instagram video has been a part of Fashion Week and now through September 12th, fashion lovers all over the globe have the opportunity to go behind the scenes like never before with special Instagram installations in some of the hottest spots including backstage at Lincoln Center, Milk Studios and Barney's flagship Madison Avenue store. In order to make the most out of Fashion Week, we’ve curated a short list of the best hashtags to use and explore, accounts (celebrities, bloggers/editors, designers, models, makeup artists) to follow and Instagram-glammed up NYC hot spots to check out.
