Uniquely Perfect Shoes for the Bride

Dear She She,

I'm getting married in October and am searching for the perfect bridal shoes. I want to be a little different. I really want a Tiffany blue shoe or something light blue! The problem is that I need a 4 inch heel. I am not finding anything even remotely close to what I had in mind. Any suggestions for where to look or thoughts that you had would be great!! Amanda

Hello Dearest Amanda!
Congrats on the wedding darling girl! And I applaud your choice of unique footwear, so let's see what we can do.

First of all, remember that Tiffany blue is a true robin's egg blue, which would definitely be a stand-out style for your wedding. Also, since it is a wedding and not a night at the disco, I would suggest staying away from details like big buckles or too much embellishment. These satin pumps from Guess would be ideal. They are a more subtle shade of the classic Tiffany blue, are sleek and simple in design, and best of all they have a 4 inch stacked wood heel, which is very glam.

Another option would be to go with a pair of dyeable shoes. There are so many style choices out there in dyables, and you can get the exact shade that you want! Now you can even get great dyeables with a little sparkle to them!
Also, remember that a silver or metallic shoe often takes on a blue tone when worn with white.

How to wear a suede jacket

She She, I have a cream colored suede 1-button blazer that I really like, but I am absolutely baffled as to when, where, and how to wear it. It probably falls under the business-casual category of clothing, but nothing I try wearing it with looks right! Please help! Thanks ~ Liz

Hi Liz,

As a general rule, you're absolutely right - the one button blazer is a more casual style, and the fact that it is suede emphasizes that rule. To me, this is more of a weekend-type jacket, or something for casual Friday's.

I would pair such a jacket with a crisp striped button-down top or silky tie-front blouse and darker toned wide-leg trousers for the casual Friday look. Add platform Mary Janes or wedges, a leather bag (NOT suede) and a funky necklace and you are good to go.

For the weekend, I would shoot for more of a sophisticated-yet-casual look by pairing this jacket with a sleek turtleneck and a great pair of figure flattering designer jeans. Finish with funky open toe wedges or even a great pair of boots, an excellent handbag and a pair of dangles and you are absolutely ready for wheels-up to the Hamptons!

One thing to remember about suede: any other leather that you wear with it should NOT be suede. Patent leather or anything with a rich burnished finish is perfection.

Relax in Style and Comfort!

Hi there girly girls!

Have you ever come home after a hard day at the office/mall/beach and all you want to do is crash? But you aren't quite ready to don jammies and hit the Egyptian cotton just yet? (It's not even dark outside!) Enter the Sumo Omni, a giant beanbag/pillow/multi-dimensional wonderchair! You won't even believe the number of ways you can position this fabulous little number for ultimate comfort and relax-ability. It's a body pillow…a beanbag… a lounger… a snuggle chair… the uses are truly endless.
My personal favorite position is to prop it against my coffee table, back myself into it (if I am feeling particularly porky I make the BEEP…BEEP…BEEP backup sound), smoosh my tush around until I am nice and comfy, then snag a soda and a plate of nachos (conveniently placed on coffe table beforehand) and veg while watching all my fave chick flicks. I can also work on my laptop from this chair (which I am doing right now!), shop online (which I am doing in ten minutes), give myself a mani/pedi, read a book, or just relax and dream of marrying rich…

It is made of a super strong ├╝ber-wonder fabric, and spills wipe right off (as witnessed about three minutes ago with a Diet Pepsi). It also stays cool and dry, unlike other beanbag chairs which tend to adhere to one's rear and make Velcro-like sounds when one is exiting. Fabulous for the little ones and pets! Make a wonderful gift for anyone you love! (And that includes yourself dearest girls!)

The best part is the affordability. Compared to similar products, the Omni is of a much higher quality construction and fabric, at a much lower price. AND SHIPPING IS FREE! What more could you ask for?

The Perfect Chanel Bag

If you were to purchase just one Chanel bag, which one and in what color? Thank you, Sallie

What a perfect (and I do me perfect) dilemma for a major league handbag afficionado! I absolutely adore handbags! All sizes, shapes, colors and fabrics, designer brands and recycled totes, all receive equal adoration from yours truly. But I digress...

If I were to purchase just one Chanel bag...well, to me Chanel is the epitome of sophistication and elegance, and is one of those "investment" purchases, meaning something you will use year after year and it will never go out of style. Therefore, I would definitely go for a classic and timeless style Chanel bag. Most likely color - black or perhaps navy. Chain strap - definitely (again, timeless Chanel!). Size - medium to small. To be specific, I would get the Chanel Vintage Classic Quilted Bag. This is my ideal Chanel. Perfect for an evening at the theatre. Or a romantic dinner with my beau. Or a fabulous girl's night out when I want to make all of my uber-stylish and oh-so-chic girlfriends green with envy! This bag is the most timeless of Chanel styles and is perfection indeed.

Also, for girls on a budget (most of us) I would opt for the services of Bag, Borrow or Steal. You can carry the most up-to-date bags, as well as vintage and classics, and pay monthly. They also let you purchase your bag if you so choose, and they do have great clearance sales. A total win-win!
