Lancôme Kicks Off 5th Annual Génifique Day

Starting today, Lancôme kicks off the fifth annual Génifique Day initiative to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Throughout the month, Lancôme will be raising funds for the cause through a social media campaign, regional in-store events and a final celebratory weekend on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th, 2014. From September 29th until October 25th, the brand invites you to Instagram or Tweet your hands in the shape of a heart and post to social media with the #LancomeGivesBack hashtag, and the brand will make a $1 donation to St. Jude in your honor (up to the $20,000 goal). During eight regional events and on October 24th and October 25th, Lancôme will donate $7 directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for every bottle of Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate, Génifique Eye Light-Pearl or Génifique Yeux sold, to underscore Génifique’s 7-day radiance results.

To support national Génifique Day, Celebrity Makeup Artist Mickey Williams is hosting events at select Lancome counters throughout October. Skyy Hadley’s Recipe for the Ultimate Hydrating Coconut Scrub:
  •  Begin by muddling a few fresh mint leaves in an empty jar to release their natural essential oils. This will help you relax while providing hydration.
  •  Warm up some coconut oil and pour into the jar until it is halfway full.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of honey and mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar until the sugar is completely immersed in the oil mixture.
  • Take a couple spoonfuls of the scrub and work into your legs and feet to fully exfoliate, sloughing away dead skin and smoothing out calluses, cracked heels and rough spots.
  • The coconut oil will provide a great amount of moisture, leaving skin feeling smooth and supple.
  • Also, be sure to rub on toe nail beds and in between toes to prevent nail infections and fungus (as coconut oil contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties). 
  • Repeat 1-2 times per week for a moisturizing and revitalizing at-home spa treatment.

Fall Trends Inspired by New York Fashion Week!

Fall weather is officially upon us and after seeing all the upcoming trends this past New York Fashion Week, it was hard not to get inspired. While the shows were incorporating their newest spring styles there is no reason we can’t bring some of these hot new looks into our Fall arsenal.

Berry stained lips

Dewy skin
Who can resist glow-y fresh skin? No one. This look was pretty much everywhere last week and we were loving it.
